Does E5 replace a separate phone system?+
Yes. Teams Phone System in E5 allows cloud calling — replacing traditional PBX systems. Add a calling plan for direct dial numbers.
Is E5 required for SIEM/security operations?+
E5 includes Defender for Office 365 Plan 2 and Defender for Endpoint Plan 2, covering most enterprise security needs. For full SIEM, pair with Microsoft Sentinel.
